This is the second time I have used them and have had the same crew both times. Robert, the crew chief on both jobs is always in a hurry to bang out the job as quickly as he can and move onto the next one. This one was no exception, except I'm far less pleased with the quality of the work this time around. The guys are really nice and super respectful. The older guys on the crew really do know how to pack things right and I've moved too many times to count so I know a good packing job when I see one. The problem with Robert, and most moving crew bosses, is he starts guys off in one area of the house packing and then pulls them off to do something else. Much later he'll have someone else go finish what the other started and that's when things go bad.

My advise to anyone who is considering a professional mover is to be very specific about your requirements for packing. These guys generally know what they are doing. But for your own sanity unpacking, insist that they pack everything by room and don't mix things up from different areas of your house, just to fill up a box. It makes for a nightmare when you finally unpack. It may make for more boxes or more newsprint to fill up those empty voids in a box, but it will keep you sane when you unpack. If you have fine art, you may want to consider having a different company like Artech come in and handle your art pieces rather than a moving company.

I hate to give this kind of review because the guys are all really nice and they work hard. This kind of stuff happens toward the end of a job and all of the issues I have mentioned in this review related to exactly that - the small oil painting was in one of the last boxes packed. They started the master closet early, got pulled off to do something else, and were running out of time and jammed everything in at the end willy nilly.

North American delivery was just as stress free. They worked extremely well getting bulky items through hard corners. They have a very handy check off list system to make sure all items are there. We're very polite and friendly.

These are experienced movers. However, I did not feel that they were as professional as movers I have experienced in the past. They seemed to pay no attention to boxes marked fragile and marked glass. It seemed that they stacked my boxes to the ceiling of the trailer with little regard to fragility. And my load took less than a third of the trailer, so there was room to have spread out the boxes. I was told that I did not have to pack my ironing board and it arrived with a torn cover. I have not found anything else damaged at this point. As are most movers, they were in a hurry to finish.

Moved from Southern California to Oklahoma.

The crew neglected to inform me they broke a door on our nightstand and they had to have known about it because our first night in the house, I go to open said door and it fell off the hinges because the door was split. It wasn't split when the showed up to move me, that much I do know and I find it hard to believe they didn't know it was split because the shelving inside started out with all the same size shelf pins and there were mismatched shelf pins upon arrival at our new location. Something tells me the door came open while someone was lifting the furniture piece stressing the hinge and causing the door to split at the hinge and someone thought I wouldn't notice until it was too late.

Odd thing is the job had been budgeted for an entire week but for some reason their crew boss wanted it done in 3 days. I expect he might had had a long-haul job he wanted to go on but had to get mine out of the way first.

They packed extremely well, even a vase filled with sand didn't spill. Packers in California where extremely polite and had great work ethic. They made great precautions into making sure walls and wooden flooring was not damaged.

I have moved 13 times over the past 40 years and this was the best ever. The estimate was very accurate, the packers did a great job. The driver was prepared for special pickup and drop off instructions.

The people that arrived to shuttle our boxes and furniture to the warehouse were very upbeat and helpful. The move went well (LA to NYC) with only two issues. 1. No call was received alerting us their arrival some weeks later, causing a mad scramble as no one lived in the apartment yet. 2. One chair leg was broken and will need to be repaired. This is a high cost move and I would expect better service and care of our items.

A month after they moved me, I'm still unpacking and have yet to find my kitchen knives. I did find my husband's black electric shoe buffer and his shoe polish kit upside down in a wardrobe box full of women's white silk blouses. Not cool at all. I have found garage tools in with clothing. I have found delicate art objects in with a commercial Kitchen Aid mixer. Numerous boxes labeled "kitchen catch-all" which doesn't give me any idea what's in the box. I have found oil paintings wrapped with tape on the painting itself. They've never done this before and one small painting is now damaged and has to be repaired. The painting may look small and insignificant but it happened to be my husband's favorite painting.
